On 25 October, a ceremony was held in the square at the Transport Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław to hand over 17 new official vehicles to Lower Silesian police officers. The event was hosted by the Provincial Police Commander in Wrocław, Superintendent Dariusz Wesołowski. Those attending included the Deputy Voivode of Lower Silesia, Jarosław Kresa, and the President of the Wrocław Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, Łukasz Kasztelowicz, together with his deputy, Bartłomiej Wiązowski, as well as the police officers receiving the keys to the new cars.

Toyota Corolla hybrid patrol cars were purchased through a joint project whose partners are the Wrocław Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management and the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. The agreement on funding the project was signed in April 2022, after which the necessary procedures for carrying out the undertaking were implemented (...). As part of this project, in addition to 17 hybrid vehicles, 5 electric vehicles and charging stations for them were also purchased, along with 2 specialist vans that officers will also use to monitor exhaust emissions.

And he adds:

This time, the patrol cars were configured exclusively as marked vehicles because they will be used by officers from the prevention division. Together with the 38 hybrid vehicles received in the first quarter, they represent a significant reinforcement of the vehicle fleet of Lower Silesian Police units. The vehicles received (...) will be seen, among other places, on the streets of Bolesławiec, Dzierżoniów, Głogów, Kłodzko, Kamienna Góra, Oleśnica, Zgorzelec, Jelenia Góra, Legnica and Wrocław. The modern official vehicles will enable officers to carry out various activities for residents’ safety in an environmentally friendly and even more effective manner.
