The duty officer at the Lwówek Police Department received a report of a road accident that occurred on national road no. 30. Police officers, firefighters and an ambulance were immediately dispatched to the scene.
According to the police’s preliminary findings, the driver of a Suzuki, a 21-year-old resident of Gryfów Śląski, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a tree. The website, in turn, reported:
To reach the driver, firefighters had to cut open the car. The man was taken to hospital in serious condition.
The Lwówek police added: – The evidence collected will allow the causes and circumstances of this serious incident to be explained in detail.
They also appeal to drivers to adjust their speed to the prevailing weather conditions and their own abilities: – Changing weather requires a change in driving technique – unfortunately, many drivers forget about this.
