After receiving a report of a bicycle theft, officers from the Police Commissariat in Nowogrodziec gathered information that enabled them to identify a suspect.
Police findings:
The offender came to the shop to do some shopping and noticed a bicycle that was not locked. He took advantage of the opportunity and took someone else’s property, intending to sell it later.
The 68-year-old hid the loot in a utility room.
The thief was arrested and the property recovered. (The bicycle has already been returned to its owner.) The suspect now faces up to five years in prison.
