We return to the matter of revitalizing railway line no. 283 on the section from Zebrzydowa to Żagań via Tomisław, Osiecznica, Przejęsław, Ławszowa and Świętoszów, and we have good news.
The contractor for the railway line revitalization is now known. Offer no. 4 was selected from among the 13 submitted bids. It was submitted by the consortium of Infra Silesia S.A. from Rybnik (consortium leader) and Przedsiębiorstwo Inżynierii Budowlanej Kopacki Sp. z o.o. from Poznań (consortium member).
The revitalization will be carried out under the Design and Build formula. The contract is worth PLN 466,350,111.
The contractor has 29 months from the signing of the contract to prepare the design documentation and, once it has been approved, will be able to begin construction work.
Railway line no. 283 will primarily provide freight transport and transport for military purposes. The Ministry of National Defence describes this line as strategic.
