This coming Thursday, 6 October, a trio consisting of: Wojciech Waglewski, Bartosz Fisz Waglewski and Piotr Emade Waglewski will perform on the stage of the Forum Cinema for the Bolesławiec audience! The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets costing PLN 99 are available at the FORUM Cinema box office and at: www.kino.boleslawiec.pl

The Waglewski Fisz Emade trio emerged in 2008 with the album “Męska muzyka”. Marcin Masecki accompanied the Waglewskis during the recording of Męska Muzyka. The album quickly proved to be an important artistic event as well as a commercial success—in a short time, it achieved Platinum Record status.

Five years later, in 2013, another WFE album, “Matka, Syn, Bóg”, went on sale. It very quickly reached the top positions on the sales charts. A few days after its premiere, the promotional single “Ojciec” reached number one on the Third Programme Chart. During the recording of the album, the Waglewskis were joined by guest musicians including Miłosz Pękala—vibraphone (Mitch&Mitch), Rebeka vocalist Iwona Skwarek, Mariusz Obijalski—piano (Fisz Emade Tworzywo), and Stefan Wesołowski—string instruments.

Wojciech Waglewski on the album: “This time, it is an album conceived jointly… as a band, because since the previous album, which was a one-off project, the Waglewski, Fisz, Emade band has come into being… As a result, the material is more mature and more cohesive. After completing and listening to the whole thing, we could not shake the feeling that this was the most personal, deepest and, at the same time, truest material, considering everything we have accomplished so far…”.

On 19 October, we also invite you to a special concert by Pendofsky.

It is a blend of jazz, afrobeat and Polish funk. Marcin Pendowski is one of the most talented and recognisable bass players in Poland, as well as a composer and music producer. He graduated from the jazz department at the University of Zielona Góra. He began his professional career with a somewhat heavier, rock sound, playing with the band Artrosis. However, his love of jazz proved stronger. Over the years, he has worked with outstanding musicians from the jazz scene, including Kuba Stankiewicz, Grzegorz Nagórski, Eleine Simpson, Velerie Scott, Piotr Baron, Henryk Miśkiewicz, Monika Borzym and Milo Kurtis. He is the co-composer of the first Polish production for the Discovery Channel, the music for the film “Solidarity. The Beginning of the Revolution”.

The band will perform on our stage with:

  • Krzysztof Kawałko—guitar
  • Tomasz Waldowski—drums
  • Tomek Wendt—tenor saxophone

The concert starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets costing PLN 40 are available at the FORUM Cinema box office and at www.kino.boleslawiec.pl
