On Tuesday, three drivers suspected of committing offences were detained on the roads of Bolesławiec County. Bolesławiec police headquarters reports:

At night, officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec, while checking a 31-year-old van driver, established that the man was subject to a court-ordered ban on driving vehicles issued in 2022 by the District Court in Lubań.

Before 8:00 a.m., a Bolesławiec patrol stopped a 30-year-old man driving a passenger car. By court decision, the man was not allowed to drive a car until February 2023.

At around 1:00 p.m., traffic officers stopped an intoxicated driver in central Bolesławiec. The 43-year-old got behind the wheel with more than 2 per mille of alcohol in his system.

Breaking a court-ordered driving ban carries a sentence of three months to as much as five years in prison. Driving while intoxicated can result in up to two years’ imprisonment, loss of a driving licence and financial consequences.
