As reported by the Bolesławiec police:
From the end of the school year until 31 August, officers in Bolesławiec County carried out 3,183 interventions, and checked nearly 8,000 people.
The traffic police alone checked nearly 2,000 vehicles. The Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters said: “They confiscated the driving licences of 12 drivers who exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area by more than 50 km/h.
Moreover, officers caught:
- 42 drivers under the influence of alcohol,
- 9 under the influence of intoxicating substances,
- 7 with a court-imposed driving ban,
- 15 without the required driving qualifications.
There were 7 accidents on our roads, in which 7 people were injured, as well as 215 collisions. No one died.
