– Officers from the Hooligan Crime Department of the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters spent several months investigating an organized crime group linked to the Karkonosze hooligan community – reports asp. szt. Łukasz Dutkowiak, press officer of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – Its members were involved in distributing significant quantities of drugs, and the police officers’ painstaking operational work provided grounds for detaining three people suspected of involvement in this criminal operation.

As a result of cooperation between Wrocław officers and police officers from Jelenia Góra, more than 5.5 kilograms of drugs and several hundred ecstasy tablets were seized. The spokesperson:

Because the criminal investigators knew that a large quantity of drugs was involved, that their black-market value exceeded half a million zlotys and that a dangerous situation could arise, police counterterrorists also took part in the operation. During the action, a 41-year-old man and two women, aged 47 and 24, were detained. The man did not conceal his surprise when criminal investigators knocked on his door early in the morning. Seeing that he would not avoid responsibility, he decided to open it himself.

And he adds:

A moment later, it turned out that he had stored significant quantities of narcotic substances prohibited under the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction in a vehicle parked in front of the property.

Almost simultaneously, officers searched the previously identified residential premises and detained two more people. In total, the following items were placed in police custody:

  • nearly 3 kg of marijuana,
  • more than 2.5 kg of methamphetamine,
  • several hundred ecstasy tablets,
  • PLN 120,000 and EUR 4,000,
  • pistols,
  • knives,
  • machetes,
  • two cars – toward future penalties and fines.

Two of those detained have already been charged, while the main organizer of the criminal operation was remanded in custody for three months by court decision. Distributing significant quantities of narcotic substances is punishable by between two and up to 12 years in prison.

Wrocław police: – Further activities in this case are currently under way, and additional arrests cannot be ruled out.
