Since 2006, the initiative that later became Gliniada, and is now Glina Show, has been the work of many women and men from Bolesławiec. At last, no one from Poland will steal it. The Patent Office of the Republic of Poland has granted the “gliniada” and “glinolud” trademarks to the people organizing Glina Show for the past five years—namely, istotne.pl.
The patents have been granted for ten years. Anyone wishing to organize clay-painting or a parade under the name “gliniada” will have to apply for permission. If they do so without consent, the penalty may range from several dozen to even several hundred thousand złotys.
