– Police officers from the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski are investigating a case involving the theft of money, which occurred yesterday, 15 August, in one of the localities in the Lwówek Śląski commune – reports Staff Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski.
She recounts:
Around noon, three unknown women, probably of Romani nationality, knocked on the door of one of the houses. Claiming to be feeling unwell, they asked for drinking water. Wanting to help, the man let them into his home.
She adds:
Taking advantage of the 76-year-old man's inattention, the women stole nearly PLN 15,000 and then left the scene in an unknown direction.
The officers appeal:
- DO NOT LET STRANGERS INTO YOUR HOMES!
- DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO STRANGERS!
- NOT EVERYONE WHO CALLS OR KNOCKS ON OUR DOORS HAS HONEST INTENTIONS!
