The District Primary School Football Championships are now behind us. On Friday, 21 May, the final matches of the competition were played. In the girls’ competition, the representatives of the Primary School in Nowogrodziec won, defeating the players from Nowa Wieś 5–0.
The district champions’ lineup was: Patrycja Borna, Patrycja Aniszewska, Diana Forster, Justyna Dziwisz, Aneta Struś, Klaudia Grabasz, Weta Słabicka, Agnieszka Nowak, Natalia Kowalik, Martyna Loraj, Edyta Wołoszyn and Patrycja Rachtan.
In the boys’ category, the championship title was also won by the team from Nowogrodziec, whose lineup consisted of: Mateusz Ziółkowski, Damian Oko, Szymon Puk, Mateusz Marek, Mateusz Mytnik, Sebastian Tkacz, Patryk Rudek, Bartek Kojder and Jakub Engel. Second place went to the team from Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec, while third place was taken by the Primary School in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki.
The two best teams advanced to the zonal competition, which will be held in Jelenia Góra. The girls will compete on 28 May, and the boys three days later.
The championships were organised by the Inter-School Sports Centre, which operates within the structures of the District Centre for Education and Staff Training.
