Police officers from the Investigative Department of the Bolesławiec police unit took action to recover the property immediately after receiving a report of the bicycle theft. KPP:
Based on surveillance footage, they identified the perpetrator, whom they knew well from previous thefts.
The 60-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was arrested. What is more, a search of the residential and utility premises used by the suspect also led to the recovery of the stolen bicycle.
The police add: “The officers’ findings indicate that the suspect took advantage of the moment when the victim left the bicycle locked up while she was at work.
The bicycle, worth PLN 1,600, was returned to its owner. The thief now faces up to five years in prison.
