On Friday, June 4, the second edition of Blues Night in Bolesławiec will take place at the Amphitheatre on Spacerowa Street. You will be able to listen to excellent blues—and it is free. Performing will be: Młody Krawiec Band, Luz Blues, and the German Elch Band. The evening’s headliners will be Chłopaki z Ferajny (a group of friends from Bolesławiec bands, including Obstawa Prezydenta and Blues Beer).
The idea for blues nights came from vocalist Maciej Tylenda. A year ago, Maciej, together with Dariusz Uściński and Jan Dudek, organized the first Blues Night at Galeria Concordia. The event, which was meant to be an intimate gathering of a dozen or so friends, grew into a recurring event. The first edition of BNiB attracted more than 300 people.
The co-organizers of the second Blues Night are the Bolesławiec Cultural Center–International Ceramics Center and the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center. “Without the help of these institutions, we would not have been able to shoulder the burden of organizing the event,” says Maciej Tylenda. “Our main goal is for the event to be free. We have no budget. Fortunately, our idea has met with great interest from people who support us.
The private company “Spółdzielnia Usługowa Piast” from Legnica will provide security during the concert free of charge. The musicians’ friends will also help with preparations. “Without our friends’ help, we would not have had a chance to complete all the preparations efficiently,” emphasizes Jan Dudek, one of the BNiB organizers. “The concert itself is just the tip of the iceberg. The event is free, so we are doing everything ourselves.
There is no point staying home on June 4. The stage will feature, among others, charismatic vocalist Maciej Tylenda; outstanding guitarist from Görlitz Rafał „Łąka” Wierse; Bolesławiec harmonica legend Jacek „Orzeł” Lubiński; and Sumptuastic drummer Tomasz Bubieńczyk. “We will give it our all to make the second edition of BNiB as successful as the first. Maybe it will be even better?” Maciej Tylenda announces.
The concert will begin at 19:00 and last until 23:00. The event will conclude with the traditional jam session. IstotneInformacje.pl is the event’s media patron.
