Employee Smelled Alcohol on Truck Driver. Prevented Him from Leaving with the Cargo

The 48-year-old arrived at the base of one of the companies to collect a trailer loaded with goods and set off on his route. The employee issuing the documents smelled alcohol on him and… immediately notified the authorities. The result? The driver was not issued the trailer and was prevented from leaving the company premises.

The employee’s suspicions were confirmed. KPP Bolesławiec:

A test carried out by the officers showed 0.3 parts per mille of alcohol in his system. The police immediately seized the 48-year-old’s driving licence.
