Reporters from TVP’s “Alarm!” program visited Raciborowice Górne with a camera. – Protective helmets and high-visibility vests – these are not scenes from an occupational health and safety training film, but the everyday life of residents of a village in Lower Silesia – the presenter said in introducing the report broadcast on August 2.
The entire case concerns a neighborhood dispute between a local entrepreneur and the residents of one building. The property in question does not have full access to a public road. The residents therefore used a yard belonging to their businessman neighbor. This access route – as the building residents’ attorney says in the TVP report – had been used for 25–30 years.
As a result of the neighborhood dispute, a fence was put up, and now, in order to reach their premises across the aforementioned yard, the residents have to wear, among other things, helmets and high-visibility vests. The entrepreneur imposed these rules. He also marked out a lane along which they may move. This led to tense and unpleasant situations.
As was emphasized in the report – they can walk there, not drive. – For example, I now have to bring in firewood for the winter. Please tell me: how am I supposed to drive in? – says Ms. Danuta, a resident of the building, in the recording. She adds: – We have a court order securing access by vehicle to the building until the end of the proceedings.
The entrepreneur’s partner explained to TVP that the residents have unrestricted access to their home. The couple even hired a private detective, who confirmed this. (This refers to an unpaved road on the other side of the building. However, as the report’s creators explain, that is also a private road, which could be fenced off at any time.)
It seems that only the court will resolve the matter. The full report is available at vod.tvp.pl.
