The matter was reported today by The Bad Bunzlauer. An internet user, Marta, noticed an inconsistency in the signage on the pavement by Wróblewski Street in Bolesławiec:

The combined C-13 and C-16 sign indicates a route on which only pedestrian and bicycle traffic is permitted. Pedestrians and cyclists use the respective sides of the route indicated on the sign when the symbols are separated by a vertical line.

She added:

Question: after the sign marked with an arrow, should a cyclist change sides of the route? And if they do not, can they be fined?

The matter seems clear. Someone turned the sign—the one in the foreground of our header photo—180 degrees. The sign in its correct, unturned position can still be seen in photos from Google Street View.

As forum users of The Bad Bunzlauer report, the sign has been turned around—as if nothing had happened—for… years. Interestingly, this signage confusion does not affect traffic on the pavement in question in the slightest. When we were on Wróblewski Street, both cyclists and pedestrians were using the correct sides.
