The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 12, on national road No. 18, at kilometre 69 in the direction of Wrocław. Before 4:00 p.m., two vehicles collided.
According to police findings, the 42-year-old BMW driver, a resident of Małopolska, collided with the back of a truck. The man had... 3‰ alcohol in his system. Fortunately, he suffered only minor injuries.
Driving under the influence carries a penalty of up to two years in prison.
Firefighters from Bolesławiec, Trzebień, as well as the medical rescue team and police, took part in the operation.
The uniformed services are appealing for prudence and caution on the road.
