The municipal authorities inform:

Gromadka Municipality ranked 195th (out of 2,477 municipalities in Poland) in the ranking of municipalities conducted by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management as part of the “Clean Air” priority programme. The result of the strong ranking position is PLN 25,600.00 in additional funds to promote the replacement of “smog-producing stoves”.

As the Government of the Republic of Poland explains, one of the three incentives adopted in 2021 for municipalities participating in the “Clean Air” programme was the allocation of PLN 16 million for distribution among local authorities that most effectively motivate their residents to improve the energy efficiency of their homes by replacing outdated boilers burning coal and other solid fuels with environmentally friendly heat sources and comprehensively insulating single-family buildings, using grants from the “Clean Air” programme.

– I am pleased that so many local authorities have joined in promoting the Clean Air programme. More than two thousand municipalities in Poland have begun cooperating with provincial environmental protection funds. Today, we are recognising the 625 most active ones – emphasised Anna Moskwa, Minister of Climate and Environment.

Paweł Mirowski, Deputy President of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, added: – We want to motivate municipalities to cooperate even more actively with owners of single-family buildings, because if their homes become more energy efficient, this will directly affect residents’ health and quality of life, as well as their energy security.

Gromadka Municipality invites residents to make contact both regarding the programme and assistance with submitting an application for funding: – The programme’s consultation point is located on the first floor, in room 7b. Information is also available by phone at 75 30 67 127.
