Municipal authorities:
Three years have passed since the last cycling event, which the municipality, through the Municipal Commission for Solving Alcohol-Related Problems, together with the Municipal Cultural Centre in Warta Bolesławiecka, organised on 16 June 2019. The two years of the coronavirus pandemic made it impossible for the organisers to hold the event, as it was deemed impossible to fully maintain the sanitary regime during an event of a nature such as a rally.
And adds: – This year, in February, the members of the GKRPA decided that preparations could begin in terms of documentation and organisation… And life would show what the final actions would be. It turned out that the actions taken were a proverbial bull’s-eye!!
A total of 301 cycling enthusiasts took part in this year’s rally, 86 of whom were under 18. This is a significant decrease, as there were 146 children on the lists in 2019. The municipality states, however: – It was obvious to the organisers that the main reason was the parents’ concern for their children’s safety, given the air temperature on the day of the VI Rally, which reached well above 30ºC.
