The Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters reports:
On Kościuszki Street, within 26 hours, police stopped the same vehicle for inspection twice. Each time, there was a different driver, different registration plates, a different offence and driving after drinking alcohol.
On Friday, traffic police stopped a vehicle driven by a 37-year-old woman from Złotoryja County. The County Police Headquarters said: The woman was under the influence of alcohol and had violated a court ban on driving.
The following day, the same car was driven by a man—a 29-year-old resident of Złotoryja County. He, too, was under the influence of alcohol, had had his driving licence revoked, and the vehicle had different, stolen registration plates fitted.
Also on Friday, Bolesławiec officers arrested two men suspected of an offence against property. One of the men will answer for theft, and the other for handling stolen goods. Police recovered property worth more than PLN 11,000.
On Saturday afternoon, a 20-year-old from Bolesławiec County hit a 51-year-old woman at a pedestrian crossing; she was taken to hospital with head and chest injuries.
Also on Saturday evening, a resident of Nowogrodziec made a citizen’s arrest of an intoxicated driver in Bolesławiec. Officers said: The man noticed that another driver was creating a danger on the road and, as soon as the vehicle pulled up beside a shop, blocked its way and called a police patrol. The apprehended driver was arrested because he had 2.7 per mille of alcohol in his system and was subject to a court ban on driving.
On 9 July, three wanted people were arrested, including a 24-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, who has a one-year prison sentence to serve for thefts. Criminal investigators, following operational inquiries, arrested a suspect in a burglary at a workshop.
On Sunday, three drivers were arrested after drinking alcohol; all lost control of their vehicles and went off the road. Two drivers hit roadside trees, while the third hit a fence.
