On Sunday, 9 May, the Family Festival was held in the square in front of the Community House in Golnice. The weather was fine, and so were the participants' spirits; everyone had a wonderful time. One of the attractions was the Mayor's Cup Run. The competition was won by a resident of Trzebień Marcin Stelmaszek. The best runner received a sheepskin coat funded by councillor Andrzej Miżdal.
The vocalists who performed on stage were: Natalia Żebrowska from Bolesławiec, Nina Wąsik from Golnice and Agnieszka Miszkiewicz from Trzebień Mały. There was no shortage of sporting excitement either. A football match was played between the Indians and Indian women. The match ended with a 4–2 victory for the Indians.
Folklore enthusiasts also had no reason to complain. The well-known Jutrzenka group performed that day. In addition, the newly formed theatre group, led by Grzegorz Roman, presented its acting skills during the festival. The group performed fairy tales by Ryszard Adam Gruchawka.
Participants also had the opportunity to compete in physical challenges such as inflating mattresses, sword fighting and sweeping paper balls. The residents of our county enjoyed themselves until dawn.
