Police officers from Legnica, who were on duty in Bolesławiec on July 5, stopped a driver who made a sudden maneuver at the sight of a police car and hurriedly got out of his vehicle. KPP:
Seeing this, the officers decided to check the driver and the vehicle. The man initially claimed that he had not been driving the vehicle. He then explained that his behavior on the road was due to the fact that the vehicle’s registration certificate had been retained.
The real reason was different, however. It emerged that the 27-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County had got behind the wheel under the influence of amphetamine. (The vehicle he was driving had also not been approved for road use.)
The irresponsible driver now faces up to two years in prison.
