130 seniors from Bolesławiec – in three groups – were trained in how to use “life bands”. Among other things, the seniors were informed about the band’s application and purpose and received detailed instructions on its use.

City Hall: – Telemedicine bands enable medical rescuers to monitor, record and receive emergency alerts, as well as establish a voice connection with the user in order to verify their health condition, call the appropriate emergency services, notify the person’s carers, and also order an e-prescription.

Officials add: – It is worth recalling that, responding to the needs of seniors, the Municipality of Bolesławiec obtained funding under the “Senior Support Corps” programme for 2022 – Module II. The programme aims to improve the safety and ability of older people to function independently in their place of residence by providing access to so-called remote care.

Who is the programme intended for?

The programme is intended for residents of Bolesławiec aged 65 and over who have difficulties functioning independently due to their health condition, live alone or with close relatives who are unable to provide them with sufficient care in everyday life. (Applications could be submitted until the end of May this year. Applications were considered in the order in which they were received).
