Józef Król, longtime president of the Bolesławiec Water and Sewerage Company, retired on June 30, 2022. During the last session of the Bolesławiec City Council, he thanked councillors and local government officials for many years of cooperation, recalling the history and development of local government in Bolesławiec and the region, as well as investments important for the city’s development. (These included the wastewater treatment plant and waste landfill, the construction of the bypass, and the emergency renovation of the town hall.) More about the retired PWiK president

He has been associated with local government since its restoration in 1990. In 1990, he was elected as a Bolesławiec councillor. From 1990 to 1998, he served as Mayor of Bolesławiec; from 1998 to 1999, he was Deputy Voivode of Jelenia Góra, and from 1999 to 2001, First Deputy Voivode of Lower Silesia. He was elected to the County Council in 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014.

Who replaced Józef Król?

On July 1, 2022, the president of the Bolesławiec Water and Sewerage Company Ltd. changed. The Supervisory Board of the Water and Sewerage Company adopted a resolution entrusting the position of president of the management board to Grzegorz Kozłowski.

More about the new president

Grzegorz Kozłowski is 49 years old. He has been associated with PWiK Bolesławiec for a total of 27 years; from 2008 until the present, he served as technical director. He also worked as a design assistant and designer at the Ekosystem Research and Design Studio in Zielona Góra.

He completed:

  • water and sewerage company management – postgraduate studies (Wrocław University of Economics),
  • MBA – postgraduate studies (School of Management in Warsaw),
  • environmental engineering, specializing in water supply and wastewater and waste treatment – master’s studies (University of Zielona Góra),
  • environmental engineering, specializing in sanitary equipment – engineering studies (Zielona Góra University of Technology).
