The District Court in Lubin ordered two months’ pre-trial detention for a 40-year-old resident of Lubin who brutally attacked two women resting on a bench in one of the parks. – The attacker, showing disregard for the legal order, attacked two female residents of Lubin, aged 72 and 43, in a hooligan-like manner, striking them in the face and head with an open hand; he also used vulgar words toward them – explains junior officer Przemysław Ratajczyk, press officer of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The perpetrator was quickly detained by Lubin police officers.
It turned out that the same man had threatened an employee of a social assistance centre twice several days earlier, insulting this public official, and had also deliberately smashed a window in the display window of one of the shops.
Spokesperson:
The list of offences committed by the detainee, as well as their nature and high degree of social harm, led the court to accept the arguments of the police and prosecutors. Consequently, the 40-year-old was remanded in custody for two months. He now faces up to 7.5 years in prison.
