The incident took place on Saturday, 25 June. Volunteer firefighters from Krzyżowa:
(...) at 4:09 p.m. we were dispatched to a passenger-car accident on kilometre 42 of the A4 motorway in the direction of Wrocław. At the scene, it turned out that a passenger car carrying two people had crashed into barriers and stopped in the middle of the motorway.
They added:
After being examined by the emergency medical team, the people travelling in the car remained at the scene.
Firefighters from Bolesławiec, Krzyżowa and Brzeźnik took part in the operation, along with an emergency medical team, police officers and a representative of the road administrator. Officers appeal for prudence and caution on the road.
