The successor to Jarosław Kaczyński, in the rank of deputy prime minister, will be the incumbent head of the Ministry of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak.
As reported by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna:
Asked to assess his presence in the government, the PiS leader said that he had managed to carry out the plan he had set for himself. "Although I will not hide the fact that the plan did not include a war, it was prepared for the possibility of war. I believe that the most important decisions concerning ensuring that Poland avoided a very difficult fate were made during this time. We want to arm ourselves sufficiently so that a possible attack on our country would be an entirely irrational undertaking," Jarosław Kaczyński stressed.
Kaczyński now wants to focus on work within the PiS party. In his opinion, the party must regain its vigour and win the elections in order to continue exercising power in the coalition, as part of the United Right.
