On Wednesday, June 21, at noon, the reconstruction of the United Right government began. The ceremony was attended, among others, by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. In addition to appointing Jarosław Kaczyński as deputy prime minister, other dismissal-and-appointment decisions were also made:
- Mariusz Błaszczak was appointed to the Council of Ministers as Minister of National Defence and dismissed from the office of Deputy Prime Minister,
- Piotr Gliński was appointed to the Council of Ministers as Minister of Culture and National Heritage and Chair of the Committee for Public Benefit, and dismissed from the office of Deputy Prime Minister,
- Jacek Sasin was appointed to the Council of Ministers as Minister of State Assets and dismissed from the office of Deputy Prime Minister,
- Henryk Kowalczyk was appointed to the Council of Ministers as a minister-member of the Council of Ministers and dismissed from the office of Deputy Prime Minister.
Thus, as of today, we have one deputy prime minister. This is the second time that Jarosław Kaczyński has served as deputy prime minister in the government during the current term. Previously, he held this position from October 2020 to June 2022.
