Volunteering is conducted as part of the “Activity – Good Choice” programme, which the Voluntary Labour Corps has been implementing for many years, motivating young people to act for the benefit of others.
Young people regularly help at the Children’s Home in Bolesławiec. The OHP residents are very eager to spend their free time with the facility’s children. A special friendship has developed between the volunteers and the children. Female students from the Building Schools Complex organised a collection of clothes, toys and other small items for the little ones from the Children’s Home among their friends. Some of the volunteers have become so close to the children that they take them on small shopping trips.
The OHP residents feel needed and want to help. On 21 May, the Labour Corps plans to take the youngest children on a sports and recreational camping trip to Krępnica, and on 2 June the children will go on a trip to Srebrna Góra.
