Bolesławiec County once again invites everyone to take part in the prestigious “Volunteer of the Year 2025 of Bolesławiec County” competition. This exceptional initiative aims to recognize individuals, organizations and institutions working for the benefit of others—with passion, dedication and selflessness.
The “Volunteer of the Year” title is awarded to those who become particularly involved in helping others and in social activity across various areas of life: culture, sport, social assistance, healthcare, ecology, tourism and activities supporting people with disabilities.
Candidates may be nominated in six categories:
- adult volunteer,
- youth volunteer,
- non-governmental organization,
- donor,
- occasional volunteering,
- volunteer with a great heart—in this category, the candidate is selected by the Starosta of Bolesławiec.
Residents of the county, schools, social organizations, parishes and institutions working with volunteers are encouraged to participate in the competition. It is an excellent opportunity to express gratitude to those who help others every day, devoting their time, energy and heart.
When evaluating the nominations, the competition jury will pay attention, among other things, to:
- the level of involvement in volunteer activities,
- the innovativeness of the initiatives undertaken,
- the ability to cooperate with others,
- the regularity and systematic nature of the work,
- the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities undertaken,
- the ability to inspire and motivate others to volunteer.
Candidate nominations must be submitted by November 14, 2025.
