Young people prepared for this event for over three months. Eight people successfully completed the demanding course. The group was led by WOPR instructor Maciej Marcinkiewicz.

At the beginning, the young lifeguards took a test on knowledge of water rescue, followed by further examination tasks in the swimming pool—timed swimming, underwater swimming and rescue operations. At the WOPR centre in Kunice, the young lifeguards also operated boats and completed towing exercises.

After the examination, it was time for the oath and awards. Representatives of the Legnica city authorities, WOPR activists and sponsors attended the ceremony. Young people from Legnica and Brzeg also took part in the examination.

Thanks to the qualifications obtained from the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the lifeguards can work at all types of bodies of water.
