The incident occurred on March 30. As reported by Szpital św. Łukasza:

(...) during a night shift in one of the towns near Bolesławiec, a dangerous incident occurred involving an aggressive man who was under the influence of alcohol.

During the medical intervention and the actions of the services, the man violated the bodily integrity of a system nurse, a paramedic and Police officers, and insulted them.

The facility: – As a result of the incident, the nurse sustained injuries and was treated in the Hospital Emergency Department.

The hospital emphasizes:

❗ We strongly condemn all acts of aggression against people who provide assistance. Paramedics, system nurses and public officials perform their work to protect the health and lives of others—they deserve respect and safety.

It adds:

⚖️ We remind you that under Article 222 § 1 of the Criminal Code, violating the bodily integrity of a public official is punishable by a fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to 3 years. In turn, insulting a public official, under Article 226 § 1 of the Criminal Code, is punishable by a fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to one year.

And announces: – The case will be referred to court proceedings. Being intoxicated is not an excuse and does not exclude criminal liability.
