14 Wrocław’s Equality March will take place under the slogan “Pride without prejudice.” Pride is an inspiring word, which is why the event will also feature the slogans: pride without wars, pride without violence, pride without transphobia, pride without borders.
The organizers write: Fourteen years after the first Wrocław Equality March, we are marching for something new—for new energy at a new time. Starting this year, we will march in June, during Pride Month. It is the month when the LGBT+ community—lesbians, gay men, bisexual, transgender, intersex, non-binary, queer and asexual people—proudly celebrates its diversity. It celebrates its history, herstory and queerstory. In June, we rejoice in our victories and support one another through difficulties. We take to the streets to show that we are there for one another, and that our ongoing struggle for rights can also be our pride.
The march will begin on 11 June (Saturday) at 3:00 p.m. at Freedom Square. The best way to get to Wrocław is by train. Departures from Bolesławiec are at 12:05 and 1:40 p.m. As in previous years, people from Bolesławiec will attend the march.
This year, the event is held under the honorary patronage of the European Commission in Poland and Wrocław Mayor Jacek Sutryk.
