PKP PLK on changes to the train timetable that will take place as early as June 12:

After years, trains will return to the line from Wrocław via Sobótka to Świdnica. Journeys on the Czerwieńsk–Guben route will be possible. The timetable includes summer railway offers. Conditions have been ensured for continuing investments that increase access to trains and travel comfort, including at Warszawa Zachodnia and Olsztyn Główny stations.

Dolny Śląsk

In Dolny Śląsk, after more than 20 years, passengers will once again be able to travel by train from Wrocław via Sobótka to Świdnica. Residents and people traveling through Dolny Śląsk will gain additional access to rail services. Fourteen stops are planned between Wrocław and Świdnica. The journey will take about an hour, depending on the number of stops.

Lubuskie

In Lubuskie Voivodeship, thanks to work carried out by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A., weekend and holiday passenger services will be launched on the Czerwieńsk–Guben route.

Podkarpacie

In Podkarpacie, train journeys from Sanok to Ustrzyki Dolne will be possible. Services are scheduled for weekends. Seasonal trains will run from Rzeszów to Zamość and the Slovak town of Medzilaborce, as well as from Jarosław to Lublin.

Małopolska

More trains will reach Kraków Główny station in the capital of Małopolska. Daily services from Wieliczka to Kraków will return. This is another result of PLK investments—the commissioning of a new bridge and track in the city center. Previously, new and modernized stops were commissioned: Kraków Złocień, Kraków Opatkowice and Kraków Bronowice.

Świętokrzyskie

In Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, on the line from Kielce to Busko-Zdrój, passengers will once again board trains at Dębska Wola stop (from June 12) and Włoszczowice station (from June 30). This is the result of rebuilding the platforms.

More convenient

Compared with last year's summer season, passengers have additional and more convenient access to rail services at 40 new and modernized stations and stops. Travel comfort—particularly for people with limited mobility—has been improved by suitably prepared platforms equipped with ramps or lifts.

Love in Zakopane?

Direct services to Zakopane from, among other places, Kraków, Warsaw and Gdynia will return from June 25. Work on the railway “zakopianka” is being carried out in stages to ensure direct access to the Tatra Mountains during the summer and winter seasons. Better-prepared platforms will make travel more convenient for passengers. The stop in Rokiciny Podhalańskie will soon join the 20 modernized stations and stops between Skawina and Zakopane.

The extensive scope of work at Zakopane station required a temporary station to be prepared. Trains will run to the temporary station located next to the PKP Intercity stabling station, on Spyrkówka Street in Zakopane (approximately 2 km before Zakopane station).

The temporary station will be adapted to serve passengers. This solution enables the efficient reconstruction of Zakopane station, as well as the City's construction of parking lots, reconstruction of streets and construction of a transport hub. PKP PLK: – Information about services to Zakopane is available on the carriers' websites. From June 25 until the end of August, mobile information staff will be available to passengers on site.

After reconstruction, Zakopane station will provide the expected level of travel comfort. Higher platforms will make boarding and alighting easier. New shelters, benches and information boards will improve passenger service. Clear signage and lighting, as well as a system of tactile paths for blind and visually impaired people, will help passengers find their way around the station. New tracks and traffic-control equipment at the station will improve the handling of long-distance and regional services.

Summer travel and railway investments

The train timetable takes into account modernization work on lines, stations and stops throughout the country. Cooperation between the infrastructure manager, carriers and contractors enables optimal use of the railway network and the results of the work, while allowing investments to continue. To expand railway capacity, work is being carried out, among other places, on the Poznań–Szczecin and Warsaw–Białystok lines and at Warszawa Zachodnia and Olsztyn Główny stations.

Pomorskie

On some routes, replacement bus services will be introduced due to the extensive scope of the work. From June 13, work will continue in Pomorskie Voivodeship on the route between Glincz and Kartuzy. Bus services will be provided for passengers on the Somonino–Kartuzy–Dzierżążno section.

Śląsk

In Śląsk Voivodeship, a PLN 1.2 billion investment on the Chorzów Batory–Bytom–Nakło Śląskie line is continuing. Replacement bus services instead of Koleje Śląskie trains remain in operation on the Katowice–Tarnowskie Góry section. Continuing extensive work at Zwardoń station requires changes to transport services. Replacement services for Koleje Śląskie trains will operate on the Rajcza–Zwardoń section, while replacement services for the PKP Intercity BESKIDY train will operate on the Żywiec–Zwardoń–Żywiec section. Information about timetable changes is available from the carriers.

Carrier:

Information about the future train timetable is available in the app and on portalpasazera.pl, on the carriers' websites and on posters at stations and stops. In addition, on June 12 and 13, mobile information staff at railway stations in Poland's largest cities will help passengers find convenient connections, locate the right platform and provide any information useful for their journey.

The summer timetable adjustment will be in effect from June 12 to September 3.
