The incident took place on Monday evening in one of the localities in Nowogrodziec municipality. Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters:
According to police findings, while the household members were away, a man entered the victim’s property, doused the front door with a liquid and then set it on fire.
Fortunately, the fire did not spread inside the detached house; nevertheless, the damage was estimated at PLN 5,000.
On the basis of the information gathered, an officer from the Nowogrodziec Police Station identified a suspect. The 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec municipality, who was acquainted with the victim, was arrested.
The vandal admitted his guilt. He faces up to five years in prison.
