The May session of the Bolesławiec County Council is under way. A short while ago, a vote was held on the draft resolution concerning a vote of confidence in the Bolesławiec County Executive Board. Jan Russ of Wolny Bolesławiec spoke, saying that his group had voted in favor of all the County’s worthwhile initiatives. But a vote of confidence means something more. He then added, among other things: – Can we trust the board and the entire team if there is a person on that team whose actions are well known?

He also announced that his group would vote against it.

Karol Stasik of Platforma Samorządowa spoke in a similar vein, emphasizing that PS had no reservations about the work of the county head Tomasz Gabrysiak. (“We are full of appreciation.”) But the situation is different when it comes to the rest of the Executive Board. He added that, out of respect for the county head, his group would abstain from voting.

The result? The Council adopted the aforementioned resolution with 11 votes in favor. Four councillors voted against it, while three abstained.

Tomasz Gabrysiak called J. Russ’s allegations “a disgraceful affair.”
