Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec identified the perpetrator responsible for damaging property as a result of operational activities. Staff Sergeant Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, said: – Last month, officers received a report concerning damage to the entrance door of one of the stairwells in a block of flats located in the town centre. The damage was estimated at more than PLN 600.
The 22-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality was detained; he admitted to the offence. He explained that he had kicked the door because he wanted to enter the building.
The vandal now faces up to five years in prison.
