– On Friday, the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica received a report concerning an attempted poisoning of a German shepherd on one of the properties in Legnica – reports asp. Krzysztof Oleniacz from the Municipal Police Headquarters. He adds: – Thanks to the involvement of Legnica residents and the work of Legnica police officers, a 36-year-old man from Legnica suspected of this act was arrested.
The entire incident was recorded by a surveillance camera located at the property guarded by the aforementioned German shepherd. The footage shows a man on a bicycle riding up to the closed gate. The dog approaches him. The spokesperson says: – After a short while, something bad begins to happen to the four-legged animal’s health, and it then collapses to the ground; at that moment, the man rides away.
The German shepherd survived and was placed in a veterinarian’s care. At the prosecutor’s request, the brute who poisoned the innocent animal was temporarily detained for two months. He faces up to five years in prison.
