On Tuesday, April 20, the semifinal of the subregional “I Learn to Live Safely” competition was held in Jelenia Góra. A total of 150 teams from the Jelenia Góra district took part. Students from Primary School No. 2 in Bolesławiec were among the winners. Julia Wędzina, Małgorzata Fraś and Kamil Ircha took third place in the kindergarten preparatory classes category. The team’s supervisor is Irena Brożek.

The other Bolesławiec kindergarten preparatory classes achieved the following results: Primary School No. 4 – 14th place; Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 7 – 30th place.

The competition covered first aid, road safety, ecology, fire protection, everyday safety, tourism and recreation. The children had to complete seven themed stations. They had to demonstrate both knowledge and practical skills. The preparatory class from Primary School No. 2 advanced to the subregional final, which will be held in Wrocław on May 17.

The other Bolesławiec teams achieved the following results:

  • in the grades I–III category: 5th place – Primary School No. 3; 10th place – Primary School No. 4; 13th place – Primary School No. 2
  • in the grades IV–VI category: 12th place – Primary School No. 3; 16th place – Primary School No. 2; 18th place – Primary School No. 4; 46th place – Municipal School Complex No. 2
  • in the lower-secondary school category: 7th place – Lower-Secondary School No. 3; 15th place – Lower-Secondary School No. 2; 23rd place – Municipal School Complex No. 1; 30th place – Municipal School Complex No. 2.
