The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 18, on Widok Street in Bolesławiec. Before 4:00 p.m., two vehicles collided there: an Opel and a Mercedes.
As officers determined, the 69-year-old Bolesławiec resident driving the Opel hit the back of a Mercedes driven by a 39-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. Fortunately, no one suffered any serious injuries.
That was not the end of it, however. It turned out that the perpetrator was drunk; he had 1.76 per mille of alcohol in his system. The irresponsible Bolesławiec resident now faces up to two years behind bars.
