Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec, while patrolling the municipality, detained a 36-year-old resident of Lwówek County suspected of damaging two vehicles. The officers: – In the car used by the suspect, police secured four plastic crates containing new car parts.
It was quickly established that the secured property came from a crime. As it turned out, the car parts had been stolen the previous day from a truck parked in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality. Police recovered property worth nearly PLN 80,000 in total.
But that was not all. Methamphetamine was found on the 36-year-old. What is more, the detained man will answer for three acts of property damage. (He scratched the paintwork and slashed the tires on two vehicles).
The resident of the neighboring county pleaded guilty. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
