The incident occurred on Tuesday, 17 May, in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. After 10:00 p.m., emergency services received a report that a man had been crushed by a truck. However, it turned out that no accident had occurred. The truck driver left the vehicle’s cab to repair a fault. Unfortunately, he became trapped beneath the truck’s trailer.

All emergency services arrived at the scene: the fire service, police and an emergency medical team. Fortunately, the driver did not suffer anything more serious. (The officers helped him get out.)

On 17 May 2022, at 10:08 p.m., the dispatch center of the District Commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec received a report about a crushed man who was carrying out work beneath the trailer of a truck in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki.

After the first units from JRG Bolesławiec arrived, it was established that the truck driver was trapped between a trailer carrying an oversized structure and the rear part of the tractor unit. The injured man was conscious, with his abdomen and chest compressed.

The firefighters’ actions involved stabilizing the vehicle, dismantling a structural element from the tractor unit to gain access to the injured man, and then freeing him and handing him over to the emergency medical team.

Units from SGRT Bolesławiec and OSP Warta Bolesławiecka participated in the operation, along with an emergency medical team and a police patrol.
