The incident took place on May 11, after 10:00 p.m. A police dispatcher received a report of robbery involving a dangerous weapon in one of the towns in the Lwówek Śląski municipality.
– Police officers were sent to the scene. There, they found the victim, who recounted the entire incident. According to her account, the masked perpetrator entered her house through a window and then, holding a knife, ordered her to hand over her mobile phone – reports Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer for the Lwówek police. – After achieving his intended goal, he fled the scene.
Officers from the Patrol and Intervention Team went to the home of the man who may have committed the act. The spokeswoman said: – Their suspicions proved correct. The 26-year-old admitted to committing the act and handed over the stolen phone to the officers.
The suspect was detained and taken to a police cell. Subsequently, at the request of the Lwówek criminal investigators, the prosecutor applied for the aggressor to be remanded in custody. The court granted the request, arresting the 26-year-old for three months.
The man could face at least three years behind bars.
