On 11 May, officers of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Road Transport Inspection in Wrocław stopped a lorry belonging to a Czech company for a routine inspection on the A4 motorway. Road Transport Inspection:

During the inspection, conducted with the driver in the Road Transport Inspection vehicle, the inspector detected the smell of alcohol. A breathalyser test showed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

The inspectors established that the driver had been driving the vehicle in this condition for more than three hours. The police were called to the scene. It turned out that the driver had 0.35 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.

Detention or a fine (not less than PLN 2,500), as well as a temporary driving ban lasting up to three years.
