The President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda – at the request of the Minister of the Interior and Administration Mariusz Kamiński – granted general's ranks to eight officers of the State Fire Service. The appointments were presented on May 6 at Józef Piłsudski Square in Warsaw, during the central celebrations of Firefighter's Day.
Among others, Senior Brigadier Marek Kamiński – the Lower Silesian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service – was promoted to the rank of brigadier general.
