On Monday morning, the Bolesławiec traffic police conducted intensified sobriety checks. The result? – More than 800 checks, all with negative results, meaning that every driver inspected was sober – explains Asp. Staff Sgt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
But she immediately adds:
However, things did not go so well last weekend. On Saturday, two intoxicated drivers were detained in rural areas of Bolesławiec County. In Osiecznica Municipality, two men apprehended a 31-year-old who was driving while intoxicated.
The 31-year-old had 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his system. The other detainee, a 70-year-old, was caught in Bolesławiec Municipality. He had “only” 0.7 per mille.
Both detainees now face up to two years in prison.
