Bolesławiec criminal investigators identified the perpetrator of two vehicle-related crimes. – The 35-year-old man was arrested and charged – reports Asp. Sgt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. The thefts occurred in April in the Bolesławiec and Warta Bolesławiecka municipalities. The total losses were estimated at nearly 9,000 złotys.
Modus operandi was the same in both cases: first, the 35-year-old drove around the county to identify a vehicle that had been parked in the same place for some time. He then rented a car trailer and stole the vehicle.
Next – and this will come as no surprise – he removed valuable parts from the cars. He sold whatever remained to a non-ferrous metals recycling center. The spokeswoman said: – Officers located the bodies of the stolen vehicles in Złotoryja County.
The arrested man admitted his guilt. He faces up to five years in prison.
