After employees discovered the remains in the garage, police officers and a prosecutor arrived at the scene.

“This morning, the body of a man was discovered in a garage building belonging to the Zgorzelec County Office. Cleaning work was being carried out there. After one of the rooms was opened, it turned out that a man’s body was inside. The police were called to the scene. The prosecutor was notified of the incident and, after arriving, conducted an inspection. The man’s remains were secured and will be transported to the Department of Forensic Medicine in Wrocław, where an autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause of death. The circumstances indicate that the remains had been in the place where they were discovered for a longer period of time. Efforts are also under way to establish the deceased man’s identity,” the spokesperson for the Jelenia Góra District Prosecutor’s Office istotne.pl Tomasz Czułowski confirmed in a conversation with the portal.

According to unofficial information obtained by an RMF reporter, the door had been fastened from the outside with seven screws, while scratch marks and bent sheet metal were found on the inside. In addition, the body is partially mummified.
