Five people, including a child, were injured in a head-on collision between two passenger cars on provincial road 297, near Suszki (from the direction of Lwówek Śląski). Five fire service units attended the scene – PSP Bolesławiec (2), PSP Lwówek Śląski (2), OSP Stare Jaroszowice, five emergency medical teams and three police patrols. The injured people were taken to several hospitals in the region.
“Preliminary findings indicate that the driver of a Renault crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a vehicle travelling correctly in the opposite direction, which was heading towards Lwówek Śląski. At this stage, we are not talking about overtaking, but about crossing into the opposite lane, as a result of which the incident occurred,” Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of KPP Lwówek Śląski, said in an interview with the lwowek24.pl portal.
