On April 28, 2022, over 800 children and their caregivers met in Bolesławiec for the “Children’s Solidarity Day” to send greetings to children in Ukraine, express their dreams and convey messages important to the adult world.
The world seen through a child’s eyes can be viewed in the collaborative artwork “We Are All Our Children”. Drawn in chalk and therefore very fleeting, the children’s picture depicts a world that is a happy, colorful, kind and beautiful place.
In Bolesławiec, the children proudly, joyfully and earnestly demonstrated their solidarity both in the friendship chain they formed and through imaginative artwork, songs and balloons sent out into the world with individual messages. The recipient – finder of messages sent from Bolesławiec can reply at: pitik@bok.boleslawiec.pl
The event was held under the patronage of the Mayor of Bolesławiec. Participants included pupils from the lower grades of primary schools, preschool children and caregivers. The organizers were: Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury-Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki, Miejski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji and Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna – Centrum Wiedzy, in cooperation with the Police, Municipal Police, PWiK, MZGM and MZGK, Fundacja “Wspieramy Zdrowie” and St. Luke’s Hospital in Bolesławiec.
